Rain expected in several governorates tomorrow
Muscat - Weather analysis by the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre indicates that a trough of low pressure will affect the sultanate on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A report issued by the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of rain over the governorates of Musandam, Buraimi, North Batinah, South Batinah, Muscat, Dakhliyah and South Sharqiyah.
The weather condition will be associated with fresh northerly winds causing dust to rise and haze over deserts and open areas. The sea will be moderate to rough along most of the sultanate’s coasts with wave height ranging between 2m and 3m.
PACA advises the public to take precaution during heavy rain, avoid crossing wadis and check the sea state before sailing. Temperature dropped on Sunday night and Monday morning, with Jebel Shams seeing its peaks capped in beautiful white snow, while Jebel Akhdar had pools of water everywhere. Jebel Surat too froze as temperatures dropped.
