HM re­ceives mes­sages from Iran, Bangladesh

His Majesty the Sul­tan also re­ceives ca­bles from Ar­me­nia, Kuwait

Mus­cat - His Majesty Sul­tan Haitham bin Tariq on Mon­day re­ceived ca­bles of con­do­lences from Pres­i­dent Dr Has­san Rouhani of Iran, Pres­i­dent Mo­ham­mad Ab­dul Hamid of Bangladesh, Nikol Pashinyan, PM of Ar­me­nia and Sheikh Nawaf al Ah­mad al Jaber al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait on the demise of His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos bin Said bin Taimour.

Mes­sage from Iran

In his ca­ble, Pres­i­dent Dr Has­san Rouhani said that he was deeply sad­dened to re­ceive the news of His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos’ demise, of­fer­ing con­do­lences to His Majesty the Sul­tan, the Royal fam­ily and the Omani peo­ple.

Pres­i­dent Rouhani said that His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos en­sured wel­fare and pros­per­ity of the peo­ple and the coun­try dur­ing five decades of his reign.

He added that the good ties be­tween Oman and Iran have been based on the prin­ci­ples of amity and fra­ter­nity. It’s a model for good re­la­tions be­tween neigh­bour­ing coun­tries, he said.

Pres­i­dent Rouhani said the Late Sul­tan was a man of wis­dom and knowl­edge and played a key role in main­tain­ing peace and sta­bil­ity in the re­gion, pray­ing to the Almighty Al­lah to rest the de­ceased’s soul in peace in par­adise and grant the Omani peo­ple hap­pi­ness and wel­fare.

Con­do­lence ca­ble from Bangladesh

His Majesty Sul­tan Haitham also re­ceived a ca­ble of con­do­lences from Pres­i­dent Mo­ham­mad Ab­dul Hamid.

In the ca­ble, Pres­i­dent Hamid said that he was deeply sad­dened to re­ceive the news of His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos’ death, reaf­firm­ing that he shares the Omani peo­ple’s grief on this enor­mous loss.

He said that the Late Sul­tan ded­i­cated his ef­forts for the sul­tanate’s de­vel­op­ment.

Pres­i­dent Hamid com­mended the con­tri­bu­tions of Late Sul­tan in pro­mot­ing re­la­tions be­tween Oman and Bangladesh.

He wished Oman per­ma­nent progress and pros­per­ity, hop­ing that the ties of friend­ship be­tween the two coun­tries will wit­ness fur­ther progress.

Con­do­lence ca­ble from Prime Min­is­ter of Ar­me­nia

His Majesty Sul­tan Haitham re­ceived a ca­ble of con­do­lences from Nikol Pashinyan.

In his ca­ble, Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Min­is­ter of Ar­me­nia ex­pressed sad­ness on the death of His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos.

He also ex­pressed sin­cere con­do­lences and sym­pa­thies and that of the friendly Ar­me­nian peo­ple, to His Majesty the Sul­tan, the Royal fam­ily and the Omani peo­ple.

The Prime Min­is­ter of Ar­me­nia re­it­er­ated that the demise of His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos is not only a loss for the sul­tanate, but also to the re­gion at large.

Ca­ble from Crown Prince of Kuwait

His Majesty Sul­tan Haitham has re­ceived a ca­ble of con­do­lences from Sheikh Nawaf.

In his ca­ble, Sheikh Nawaf ex­pressed deep sor­row and sad­ness on the death of His Majesty Sul­tan Qa­boos.

He said that the death of the great leader who de­voted his life to serve the home­land and peo­ple is an im­mense loss, not only for the sul­tanate, which wit­nessed a com­pre­hen­sive re­nais­sance cov­er­ing var­i­ous fields, but also for the Arab and Is­lamic na­tions.

The Crown Prince of Kuwait ex­pressed his sin­cere con­do­lences and sym­pa­thy to His Majesty the Sul­tan, the Royal fam­ily and the Omani peo­ple.

He prayed to the Almighty Al­lah to rest the soul of Late Sul­tan in peace in par­adise, and grant His Majesty Sul­tan Haitham pa­tience and suc­cess to con­tinue the march of wel­fare and growth be­ing wit­nessed by the sul­tanate.
