Al Ah­lia In­sur­ance ap­points Zad­jali as new IT di­rec­tor

Mus­cat – Al Ah­lia In­sur­ance Com­pany an­nounced the ap­point­ment of Arif Da­wood Qasim al Zad­jali as their new IT di­rec­tor.

Zad­jali holds a bach­e­lor’s de­gree in com­puter sci­ence from Sul­tan Qa­boos Univer­sity and an MBA from Strath­clyde Col­lege, UK. The ap­point­ment also high­lights the com­pany’s stead­fast com­mit­ment to sup­port Oman’s vi­sion of en­cour­ag­ing homegrown tal­ent in or­gan­i­sa­tions. He will over­see and steer the com­pany’s IT devel­op­ment, in­fra­struc­ture, se­cu­rity, main­te­nance and gov­er­nance needs, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease.

With al­most two and half decades of ex­pe­ri­ence in the fields of in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy, e-gov­er­nance, e-trans­for­ma­tion, change man­age­ment, busi­ness strat­egy and project man­age­ment, he has worked in mul­ti­ple sec­tors in­clud­ing bank­ing, telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions and lo­gis­tics. Zad­jali brings to Al Ah­lia In­sur­ance strong lead­er­ship skills and su­pe­rior tech­ni­cal know-how, that will play a key role in keep­ing Al Ah­lia In­sur­ance ‘One Step Ahead’.

Com­ment­ing on his ap­point­ment, Zad­jali said, “I am very ex­cited about this op­por­tu­nity at Al Ah­lia In­sur­ance and I am sure I can add value to the or­gan­i­sa­tion with my vast ex­pe­ri­ence. IT se­cu­rity is a very crit­i­cal func­tion in the in­sur­ance sec­tor given privacy con­cerns, client se­cu­rity and gov­er­nance re­quire­ments.
