Bids called for Mu­san­dam her­itage, en­ter­tain­ment project

To pro­vide en­ter­tain­ment ser­vices and at­tract tourists, the Min­istry of Re­gional Mu­nic­i­pal­i­ties and Wa­ter Re­sources (MRMWR) is plan­ning to set up a her­itage, en­ter­tain­ment project in the wilayat of Madha in Mu­san­dam gov­er­norate.

“The min­istry has called on in­sti­tu­tions and in­di­vid­u­als to in­vest in 20 per cent of the land of Madha Her­itage Vil­lage in Mu­san­dam gov­er­norate,” said an of­fi­cial at the Min­istry of Re­gional Mu­nic­i­pal­i­ties and Wa­ter Re­sources.

He added, “The land will be of­fered for in­vest­ment for 15 years. The dead­line for in­vest­ment bids is March 8.”

The project will in­clude restau­rants, cafés, elec­tronic games, and a her­itage inn. The project aims to pro­vide recre­ational ser­vices to cit­i­zens, res­i­dents, and at­tract tourists.

Strength­ened by nat­u­ral el­e­ments such as unique moun­tains, sea, is­lands and wildlife,

Mu­san­dam of­fers a lot to the tourism sec­tor.

Ac­cord­ing to the Min­istry of Tourism, the num­ber of tourists who vis­ited Mu­san­dam in the last nine months of 2018 reached 250,000. It showed that the var­ied tourism prod­ucts of the gov­er­norate and its com­po­nents are at­tract­ing tourists.
