Snow­fall in Jebel Shams, rain­fall in Shi­nas

Jebel Shams has ex­pe­ri­enced an­other round of snow­fall as tem­per­a­ture re­mained pleas­ant in many parts of the coun­try on Wed­nes­day.

On Tues­day, some parts of Oman such as Shi­nas in North Bati­nah and Mu­san­dam re­ceived rain­fall. On Wed­nes­day, the Pub­lic Au­thor­ity for Civil Avi­a­tion (PACA) said, ‘There was cloud cover in Mus­cat, Dakhliyah, North and South Bati­nah, Dhahi­rah, Bu­raimi and Mu­san­dam. Low-level clouds and fog were spread over parts of South Shar­qiyah, Al Wusta and Dho­far.’

For Thurs­day, the Direc­torate Gen­eral of Me­te­o­rol­ogy of PACA stated, ‘There will be mainly clear skies over most parts of Oman with a drop in tem­per­a­ture and chances of late night to early morn­ing low-level clouds or fog patches over Dhahi­rah and chances of dust-ris­ing winds over deserts and open ar­eas.’

For Fri­day, it stated, ‘The skies will mainly be clear with a drop in tem­per­a­ture and chances of late night to early morn­ing low-level clouds or fog patches over Dhahi­rah and South Shar­qiyah and chances of dust-ris­ing winds over deserts and open ar­eas.’
