ISG bids adieu to class 12 students

Indian School Ghubra (ISG) organised the Formal Farewell for the students of Class 12 on Monday.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr P Mohammed Ali, founder, Indian School Ghubra, Ahmed Rayees, president, School Management Committee, Sunil Katakkath, convenor SMC, members of the School Management Committee and parents.

The principal, Papri Ghosh, welcomed the gathering and addressed the students. She appreciate­d the batch of 2019–2020 for their unity and for being very cooperativ­e throughout.

The principal pointed out the unique talents of the students of the batch and praised them for setting a good example to others.

In his exhortatio­n, Dr Mohammed Ali spoke about developing an attitude of gratitude. He advised the students to remain focused on their goals. He asked them to stand and applaud their parents and leaders.

In his address, Rayees told the students that the stairways to success demanded hard work and focus. He also asked the students to thank their parents.

Dr Ali presented the 113 students of the batch their hall tickets.

Rayees presented mementoes to 34 students who had completed 14 years of schooling in ISG.

The dignitarie­s wished them the very best for the Board examinatio­n.

Sharmistha Shankar Ghosh, head girl, expressing her gratitude to her alma mater spoke of the many memorable experience­s at ISG while Ishan Rohit Date, head boy, spoke of life being a canvas on which he looks forward to paint with the most brilliant colours.

Anirudh Govil, president Student Council said in his speech that they are all now at a crossroad and each of them will have to make a choice between taking the highway to hell or the stairway to heaven. He said that their time in school was like a vaccine which caused pain sometimes but would go on to make them stronger to face the challenges of life.

Akifah Jamsheed and Kaushik Shankar, head girl and head boy respective­ly of ISG Internatio­nal, expressed their gratitude to the institutio­n that had moulded and groomed them for success.

The function concluded with a special prayer by the principal, Papri, seeking the grace of the Almighty for the success of the batch 2019-2020.
