Meethaq inaugurate­s new branch in Sinaw

Meethaq, the pioneer of Islamic banking in Oman from Bank Muscat, celebrated the official opening of its newest Sinaw branch recently. The opening of the new branch is in line with the bank’s vision ‘To serve you better, everyday’ and to continue to expand operations across the sultanate to offer a world-class Islamic banking experience to customers in every corner of the country. With the opening of the new branch, the total number of Meethaq branches in Oman has now reached 22, which includes 11 branches in the Governorat­e of Muscat and 11 branches in other governorat­es. In addition to the new Sinaw branch, Meethaq is also happy to announce the plan to open two more new branches during this year.

The newly opened branch adds to the bank’s already excellent network of branches and a dedicated network of 40 ATMs/CDMs as well as access through the Bank Muscat ATM/CDM network across different governorat­es of the country. The branch, which will operate from 8am to 2pm, will provide many facilities and services that are compatible with the principles and provisions of Islamic Sharia’a.

It will offer a full suite of retail banking operations and services such as home finance, auto finance and other retail facilities. In addition, the new branch will also have a Hafawa Centre for the benefit of Premium Banking customers and is staffed by well qualified and experience­d Omani employees. It is expected to see a large number of customers because of its excellent location and accessibil­ity.

The new branch is designed to create a unique ambience and banking environmen­t in line with the Meethaq brand values of true partnershi­p, transparen­cy and trust. Meethaq plans to expand further its network of branches as well as launch new products and services to complement the unique Islamic banking experience. Branches are also operating in

Nizwa, Bahla, Buraimi and Ibri, apart from a branch on the campus of the Sultan Qaboos University in response to the tremendous public demand for banking products and services based on Sharia’a principles.
