City bus service in Salalah from Nov 1

Mwasalat has announced that it has postponed the resumption of bus services within the city of Salalah until November 1.

Following approval from the Supreme Committee dealing with COVID-19, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology had earlier decided to resume public transport services within Salalah from October 18. But now, the national transport company has postponed it further to November 1.

The ministry had approved resumption of intercity services from September 27 and within Muscat city from October 4.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and for the safety of staff and passengers, the ministry has put in place precautionary measures. These include sterilisation of buses before and after each trip, temperature check of passengers, wearing masks at all times while riding the buses and providing hand sanitisers onboard.
