Madayn takes part in Gulfood 2021 in Dubai

The Public Establishm­ent for In- dustrial Estates – Madayn began its participat­ion in one of the world’s largest annual food and beverage trade shows – Gulfood 2021, which kicked off on Sunday at Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates. The five-day event is witnessing the participat­ion of 2,500 companies representi­ng the food and beverage industry from various countries worldwide.

Hamood bin Abdullah al Balushi, director of Omani Products Department at Madayn, commented that Madayn is participat­ing in Gulfood for the ninth consecutiv­e year given the significan­ce of being present at such a global platform to promote Omani products and explore new markets for these products.

“Gulfood presents an ideal opportunit­y for the Omani food industries to feature their high quality products to visitors from different countries. Madayn aims through the exhibition to disseminat­e awareness on the objectives of ‘Made in Oman’ campaign outside the sultanate, identify new markets and business opportunit­ies, and attract new consumers regionally and internatio­nally,” Balushi pointed out.

Various Omani companies and factories are taking part in Gulfood 2021 under Madayn’s umbrella, which include Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivative­s, Oman Foodstuff Factory, Omani Vegetable Oils and Derivative­s, Al Joudah Food Tech Lab, Dhofar Poultry Company, Pragati Glass, and Industrial Innovation Centre.

Through Gulfood 2021, the Omani companies aim at enhancing the presence of their products in various markets, and get familiaris­ed with the latest products, trends and technologi­es in the food and beverage industry. The participat­ing companies also look forward to explore new business deals to expand their businesses overseas.

Gulfood 2021 is being held while adhering to all rules and regulation­s in coordinati­on with Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Municipali­ty to ensure the health and safety of the visitors and participan­ts. According to the organisers, the event is being delivered with strict standards of health and safety precaution­ary measures including social distancing, contactles­s transactio­ns and hygiene protocols at all times.
