Radhakrishnan leaves ISM after long years of service

-

Four decades ago, when even the most adventurous of the men would reconsider their decision of sailing to a gulf nation, A Radhakrishnan touched the shores of this beautiful country Oman. Since then, there has been no turning back for him. As an assisting staff, he has been associated with Indian School Muscat (ISM) for 43 years.

The school was in its neonatal stage in the year 1978. His joining a three-year old institution with 85 students, and witnessing it reaching an incredible strength of 9,500 is most certainly an inspiring story. Radhakrishnan has witnessed the transition of its premises from a seed to a fullgrown tree that spreads its branches wider with every passing year. It is a lifetime of service that he has rendered to the school. His contributions to the school have been implausible and immense.

His integrity and allegiance will always be a prime example for others. His work ethics and commitment towards the organisation is legendary and unquestionable. He created a niche in everyone’s heart with his smiling disposition. The reassuring smile on his face, the soft polite words impacted everyone who came his way. In this journey of life, he has left an indelible impression with everyone. His ability to remember the names of each and every student and even the ex-students is an astounding characteristic. He has been an integral part of the organic coexistence of the school with its principals, administrative staff, teachers, students, the entire workforce and the sequence of events.

The chairman, Board of Directors, Dr Baby Sam Saamuel lauding Radhakrishnan, expressed that the length of his tenure was quite incredible. The president, Indian School Muscat Management Committee, Ajay Kummar. J extolled him for being sincere, resolute and hardworking.

Principal Dr Rajeev Kumar Chauhan observed that Radhakrishnan is conversant with every brick of this renowned institution and every nook and cranny of the school is familiar with the sound of his footsteps. His self-discipline, resilience, respect for young and old and concern for others, will last for long in our memory.

Indian School Muscat family bids adieu to Radhakrishnan. The new innings begins. We wish him all the very best for an upbeat and thriving life ahead.
