Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives wins the prestigious Shield of Excellence award
Muscat: Marking a momentous milestone in its enriching journey, Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives (AVOD) has been awarded the ministry’s Shield of Excellence in a virtual event held to announce His Majesty the Sultan’s Award for Industrial Excellence 2020.
The event, which was organised by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, was held under the patronage of Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidi, chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones in the presence of Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, a number of officials from the ministry and Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, of Madayn and Oman Industrialists Association. Five industrial establishments won HM the Sultan’s Award for Industrial Excellence and nine industrial establishments won the ministry’s Shields for Excellence.
Speaking at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion event, Dr Saleh Said Massan, the undersecretary for Commerce and Industry, said that His Majesty the Sultan’s Award for Industrial Excellence is a gesture to felicitate industrial establishments, enhance their competitiveness in local, regional and international markets and show the competence of the
Omani industrial sector.
