MoH to obtain 3mn doses by Aug

Muscat - The Ministry of Health (MoH) is seeking to import around 3mn doses of COVID-19 vaccines by the end of August.

‘The Ministry of Health is seeking to bring 2.82mn doses of COVID-19 vaccines by the end of August 2021. Remaining doses will be administered in batches before the end of this year,’ MoH said.

As part of the national immunisation plan, Oman seeks to vaccinate 3.2mn people, equivalent to 70 per cent of the population, except those under the age of 18 years. Currently, those who have had COVID-19 earlier, will be given one dose as it has been deemed sufficient.
