Sohar Port and Freezone selects IFS for digitisati­on

IFS, a global enterprise applicatio­ns company, on Sunday announced that Sohar Port and Freezone has selected IFS’ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), service management and project management to fully digitise, automate and centralise the finance, supply chain and HCM department­s into one platform.

As a major contributo­r to trade in Oman, it is important that Sohar Port and Freezone makes adequate investment­s to ensure that they are future ready to adapt and meet the emerging business requiremen­ts of the ports industry, IFS said in a press statement.

Commenting on signing of the contract, Bader al Ghaithi, IT manager, Sohar Port and Freezone, said, “With multiple solution requiremen­ts, the need to have them operating on a unified platform that is fully integrated and to work with an organisati­on that has relevant industry experience were two of the main reasons that we chose IFS. We are confident that the combinatio­n of the solution’s unique features, ease of use and quick implementa­tion will help us meet our future digital transforma­tion requiremen­ts.”
