-

In line with its vision ‘To serve you better, everyday’ and commitment to customer-centric services, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in Oman, has invited its customers to try out the new features that have been added in its Mobile Banking app.

These include a single click facility for Eidiya (Eid gift) transfers, charity contributions for Zakat and Sadaqah as well as donations to the Ministry of Health (COVID-19). Customers can download the latest version of the Bank Muscat Mobile Banking app from Apple App Store, Google Play or Huawei AppGallery.

Speaking on the occasion, Amjad al Lawati, AGM - Cards and eBanking, said, “Bank Muscat is happy to share with our valued customers the opportunity to spread joy among young children by sending Eidiya through the mobile application. Customers can also use the app for Zakat, Sadaqah and Ministry of Health (COVID-19) donations. The bank is happy to continuously launch new features within the app, which adds to customer convenience, ease of use and safety. I also take this occasion to wish Ramadan Mubarak to all our esteemed customers during this holy month.”

Using the new features in the app is both easy and convenient.

For example, using the single click option, a customer can make Eidiya transfers to up to 10 beneficiary accounts at a single time.

To use the feature, a customer simply needs to click on ‘Transfer > Eid Gift’ after logging in. The customer will be taken to a page with the options to ‘Initiate a Transfer’ and ‘Manage Your Groups’. The ‘Manage your Groups’ option allows the viewing / modification / deletion of all the groups created, while the ‘Add Groups’ option will allow new groups to be added. Group names and beneficiary details can be viewed under the details of each group.

Customers can create multiple groups and select up to 10 beneficiaries in each group. The ‘Initiate Group Transfer’ feature allows the user to select a group of beneficiaries and transfer to all the accounts at a single time. The users can make multiple Group Transfers in a day.

Similarly, the new facility makes it easy to transfer Zakat and Sadaqah as well as contributions to the Ministry of Health (COVID-19). All transactions are made in Omani rials and the amount will be debited from the account chosen by the customer.

The customer will get SMS notifications for the amounts transferred to each beneficiary and the process of making donations is highly intuitive thanks to the state-ofthe-art technology used in the Mobile Banking application.

Today, Bank Muscat customers extensively use the various digital options which are available to them through Mobile or Internet Banking such as bill payments, mobile top-ups, payments within Bank Muscat and Oman and international transfers.
