OWWC appoints Qais al Zakwani as CEO

Muscat - Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company (OWWC), the newly establishe­d entity to undertake the activities of water and wastewater sectors in all governorat­es of the sultanate except Dhofar, has appointed Qais bin Saud al Zakwani as its chief executive officer.

The board of directors of Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company through a press statement on Thursday announced the appointmen­t of Zakwani as CEO.

With more than 18 years of experience, Zakwani brings a unique set of skills and utility sector knowledge, most notably in the implementa­tion of the electricit­y sector restructur­ing and leading the Authority for Electricit­y Regulation as the executive director and member for six years.

Zakwani has been involved with the water restructur­ing project since 2016 as a member of the water and wastewater restructur­ing steering committee, Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company said. ‘We are confident that he will successful­ly lead the newly formed executive leadership team to deliver on the water and wastewater restructur­ing objectives,’ the company added.

Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company is a member of Nama Group.
