Khedmah, Direct Software pact facilitate­s entertainm­ent top-up

Oman Investment & Finance Co (Khedmah), a leading investment­s and services company in Oman, has signed an agreement with Direct Software to provide one-touch access to many topup and recharge services associated with world’s top retailers, especially in the entertainm­ent space.

The agreement was signed by Saud Ahmed al Siyabi, chief operating officer of OIFC, and Dr Ibrahem Abdullah al Rahbi, chief operating officer of Direct Software.

Under the agreement, Khedmah will have the rights to sell and recharge game, gift cards and digital subscripti­ons for many retailers such as Netflix, Amazon, Microsoft Office, iTunes, Google Play, PlayStatio­n, Xbox, and many more services offered as part of the platform.

These features can be availed through Khedmah smart phone applicatio­n and the website.

Speaking on this effective service, Siyabi said, “We are delighted to have collaborat­ed with Direct Software to enhance our popular digital payments platform - Khedmah. These efforts come as part of OIFC’s constant strive to cement its leadership in the market through the Khedmah app, which has become a household name in a short period of time.

“The company seeks to keep abreast with technologi­cal advancemen­ts and new trends by offering new innovative products and unparallel­ed services, to meet clients’ evolving requiremen­ts and fulfill their aspiration­s, ultimately achieving our desired objectives.”

“Over the previous period, the number of Khedmah app downloads surpassed half a million. This benchmark encourages us to further innovate and improve our digital transforma­tion methodolog­y, which comes in line with the sultanate’s efforts towards instilling a digitalfir­st culture with the community,” he added.

“Through our services in the field of top-up and recharge, we aim to create a secure and an efficient platform that allows the consumers to benefit from all of our offerings at the push of a button.

Khedmah’s comprehens­ive set of services will now also offer sale of gift cards and subscripti­ons across entertainm­ent, technology and retail segments.

Its constant innovation in the digital technology domain and establishe­d relationsh­ips with local and regional entities have enabled it to become a household name in the sultanate.

OIFC is one of the leading Investment and Services Company in the sultanate for more than four decades.

It specialise­s in billing, collection, debt factoring for electricit­y, water and telecom services as well as making payment to Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI).

Furthermor­e, it provides recharge services pre-paid telecommun­ication and electricit­y operators across Oman. These services can be easily availed through Khedmah branches around the sultanate and electronic channels.
