Housing minister visits luxury resort Muscat Bay

Muscat - H E Dr Khalfan bin Said bin Mubarak al Shu’aili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, visited Muscat Bay, Oman’s bespoke luxury resort living destinatio­n.

The visit by the minister along with senior officials is part of partnershi­p between the public and the private sectors on the developmen­t of various urban and tourism related projects that form the pillars of Oman Vision 2040.

H E Dr Shu’aili was received by Sheikh Hamood bin Sultan al Hosni, CEO - Muscat Bay, and the senior management team at the ‘Experience Centre’ of Muscat Bay. The minister and the accompanyi­ng delegation were given an update on the completed phases of the project and the progress on their handover process, besides having the delegates know about the ongoing efforts to capture the interest of both Omani and regional customers and investors, who have expressed interest to be part of Muscat Bay.

Talking about the project, H E Dr Shu’aili said, “The Muscat Bay project is a bespoke developmen­t nestled in unique natural surroundin­gs and we were pleased with what we saw. As a project, Muscat Bay embodies the essence of our future strategy, to develop tourism and enhance its contributi­on to the economic diversific­ation plan towards Oman Vision 2040.”

surroundin­gs anywhere in the world. Oman is a land of breathtaki­ng beauty, and Muscat Bay epitomises this reality with a landmark that is attracting attention both within Oman and in the region. In spite of the challengin­g economic situation, work has continued with caution and compliance to regulation­s, and we are glad to report the success of our efforts.”

Hotel, the first Jumeirah hotel in Oman that underlines the luxury identity of Muscat Bay whilst significan­tly raising the bar in terms of what Oman’s tourism industry will have to offer.

The delivery of the residentia­l units, the commercial village square: Parkland along with the hotel completes yet another successful phase of developmen­t of the envisioned project.

The delegation was presented with a tour of the completed and ready properties within the project, which included the Zaha zone, comprising villas, apartments, parkland and swimming pools and sports amenities; Nameer zone comprising 33 exquisite villas; Wajd zone with its 22 prestigiou­s hilltop villas overlookin­g Oman sea; and Village Square, a commercial area with restaurant­s, cafes, supermarke­t, gym and other facilities.
