Balqees Suliemana Al Hassani, president of the leading community knowledge sharing platform - Knowledge Oman who, and also heads the Wellbeing of one of the leading private schools in the country - Al Sahwa School, has been featured in an international book that highlights 100 of the leading women who have contributed to the development of the sultanate.

An exclusive book launch event gathering all the successful women is all scheduled to take place at the Al Bustan Palace, Ritz Carlton Hotel, on November 3, a press release said.

“I am thrilled and honoured to be recognised internationally for the kind of work we do for the benefit of the community and the school. I attribute this success to the Honourable Lady, wife of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, for supporting Women development and success in Oman,” Balqees said.

Amidst the pandemic crises, Knowledge Oman has launched a series of webinars under Balqees' direct leadership that aimed at enriching society with knowledge, enhancing skills, and raising awareness on different aspects of personal and professional life. The platform allowed students and faculty members from both, the private and public sectors, to attend the sessions for free.

“We wanted to ensure that free educational sessions in a form of webinars from international experts were available for students, faculty members, and their parents via our Knowledge Oman platforms,” she said. The webinar series were open free for public and were broadcast bi-weekly via platforms managed by Knowledge Oman team. The webinars were launched in support of the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik towards Oman’s Vision 2040 on building knowledge and upskilling the nation.

“Balqees activities, engagements, and great determination at Transforming Oman into a knowledge-based society is perfectly fit and in line of the goal of this book especially for motivating women to excel and prosper to success. We are honoured to have selected Balqees among the 100 successful Omani Women,” noted Kathleen Nejad, author of the book.

The book, which will be available during the exclusive event at Al Bustan Palace, will reveal the stories of 100 empowering Omani women, their experiences, thoughts and inspiration in the form of challenges they have faced, success that they have enjoyed throughout the course of their lives, and the contribution in the development of the economy.

“We hope to empower other women worldwide by sharing personal knowledge, experience, and thoughts of Omani Women that make a difference in society,” Kathleen added.
