Zubair EDC announces design competition for interface of Brandz+ app

As part of its efforts to support national institutions and enterprises, the Zubair Enterprises Development Centre (Zubair EDC) in cooperation with Al Zahra College for Women launched a competition for college students to design an interface for the Brandz+ App, which falls within the platforms supported by the centre.

This initiative comes within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed by the Zubair EDC with Al Zahra College for Women with the aim of empowering and motivating college's students and highlighting their skills.

The college held a workshop conducted by Dr Salah bin Said al Mahthori, CEO of Brandz+, an affiliated member of the centre. The workshop touched on a number of themes, most notably the role of the Zubair EDC in supporting small and medium enterprises, and the guidance and planning that Brandz+ had had.

Mahthori also talked about the basis of the idea of the Brandz+ app and the advantages that it can add as a marketer for the brands that benefits from the app’s services. Then the workshop shed light on the details of the competition and the criteria for selecting designs for the interface. The workshop concluded with a question and answer with the students.

Commenting on this initiative, Rawan al Kiyumi, Business Administration Specialist at Zubair EDC said, “We are pleased with the interaction we saw from the participants in the competition. We are confident that this initiative will contribute to the development of the students’ skills and provide them with outstanding abilities in the field of design, through which we seek to attract and discover talents and provide them with an effective platform to showcase their innovative ideas and achieve the desired growth.”

The Brandz+ application is an integrated digital platform specialising in trademarks. Through this means, the company aims to empower entrepreneurs and businessmen to monitor the performance of their brand from their smartphones from any location. Also, the company enables the marketing and promotion of brands to maximise its revenues and sales alongside increasing its market value as well as enhancing its presence among well-known international brands.
