Oman Air receives APEX Five-star airline award

Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, has been awarded the 2023 Five-star Major Airline rating by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX). The award was announced on October 26 during the annual APEX/IFSA Expo in California, US.

It’s the third consecutive year the airline has received the award, which measures customer feedback in a range of metrics including seat comfort, cabin service, in-flight meals and in-flight entertainment.

Oman Air CEO Abdulaziz al Raisi said, “The airline industry continues to evolve and with it, guest expectations. At Oman Air, our vision has remained constant. We continue to work hard to elevate our guest experience with new innovations in aircraft design and a greater focus on well-being, while staying attuned to their needs and feedback.

The APEX Official Airline Ratings is the first airline rating programme based solely on certified

passenger feedback and insights gathered through Tripit from Concur, the world’s highest-rated travel-organising app. Using a five-star scale, nearly one million flights have been rated by pas

sengers across more than 600 airlines from around the world and independently certified by a professional external auditing company. The award is the latest in a string of accolades Oman Air has received from APEX, including the 2022 Passenger Choice Award for Best Seat Comfort in the Middle East, as well as the Five-star Major Airline rankings for 2022 and 2021.
