Tourism facilities to be built at Fins Beach

Muscat Municipality is calling for investments in Fins Beach in Muscat to make it an attractive destination for visitors.

In a statement, Muscat Municipality said, ‘As part of efforts to support the national economy and benefit from the beaches in Muscat, the municipality has floated a tender for development of Fins Beach and provision of beach facilities.’

The municipality is inviting interested parties to set up an integrated restaurant of modern design with indoor and outdoor seating and for the establishment of a cafe serving fast food with rooftop and internal seating.

Interested parties are also invited to propose plans for a children's play area, public toilets, prayer rooms for men and women, car park and a shop to sell marine items.

‘The project includes the construction of a road to facilitate access for cars to the parking area and a shaded area on the beach. Additionally, the project involves afforestation of the site for beautification, laying an irrigation system for trees, provision of electrical services and solarpowered lighting,’ the municipality stated.
