Al Ahlia CEO Hanaa al Hinai named ‘Woman of the Year’ at Al Mar’a Excellence Awards

Hanaa al Hinai, CEO of Al Ahlia Insurance, has been awarded the prestigiou­s 'Woman of the Year' title at the Al Mar’a Excellence Awards (AMEA) that was held on November 9 at Sheraton Oman.

The Al Mar’a Excellence Awards, now in its 11th year, is the first-of-its-kind platform that was introduced in Oman to honour and celebrate Omani women

achievers and recognise their achievemen­ts across diverse fields, including banking, insurance, business, and other sectors.

Hanaa was felicitate­d at a special gala event held under the

patronage of Honourable Lujaina bint Mohsin Darwish, Member of Majlis A’dawla, Sultanate of Oman.

Hanaa, who has been in the field of banking and finance for over 20 years now, has set the benchmark for exceptiona­l lead

ership in her various roles. Having begun as a senior financial advisor in one of Australia’s leading banks, she returned to Oman to work for leading financial names such as HSBC, NBO, OAB, and Ahlibank.

A graduate of the highly recognised National CEO Programme, Hanaa was the Deputy CEO, UAE & Bahrain - RSA ME,

before taking over as CEO of Al Ahlia Insurance in Oman. She is also the founder and CEO of Smart Money Education.

“I am humbled and honoured to receive the ‘Woman of The Year’ award this year,” Hanaa

said. “I would not be here without the support that I have received from everyone across the years, and I hope I can continue to pay that forward by encouragin­g more Omani women to embrace leadership roles and empower themselves to be the best version of themselves.”

Hanaa is also one of the 52 iconic women achievers, who have been featured in a debut special Collector’s edition book titled Al Nukhba.
