The beauty of this country is not only reflected

in its scenic views and rich history but more so in its people. The kind, humble and giving nature of its people has always given me a sense of peace and belonging.

Witnessing the kindness shown not only towards people of any colour, race or culture but towards animals, as well. Growing up I was always fascinated by the grace and majesty of the police officers trotting along the soft sands of the scenic Muscat beach lines on their well-groomed horses. Moreover, on our way to school everyday, watching the royal cavalry horses galloping along the pavements of Qurm beach. Watching the rising sun glis

tening on the horse’s coat inspired my latest

work exhibited some time back at Fikra’s Summer Breeze exhibition. My painting serenity was to captivate the beauty of this vision I grew up with seeing.

Oman is rich in its culture with its beautiful fusion of modern and traditional infrastructure. An artist could easily feel engulfed by its opulent colours - from it’s beautiful sunsets glistening on its sea lines, the rocky golden mountains that outline its land, and its iconic date palm trees and rich colours of heritage

and culture in Muttrah. Inspirations can be drawn from items as small as the intricate Omani silver jewellery to the picturesque landscapes the sultanate has to offer.
