Sayyid Badr holds meeting with heads of missions in Oman
Muscat - H E Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, held the third annual meeting on Sunday with ambassadors and heads
of diplomatic missions accredited to the sultanate.
H E Sayyid Badr highlighted Oman’s pillars of foreign policy and touched on regional and international developments and the sultanate’s efforts in enhancing the investment milieu and economic diversification. He also addressed climate issues and underscored Oman’s efforts in achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. He pointed out that Oman welcomes cooperation and partnership with Arab and friendly countries in this field.
He congratulated Qatar for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and also congratulated the UAE on being chosen to
host the Conference of the Parties (COP28) in 2023.
H E Sayyid Badr exchanged views with the ambassadors on cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and diplomatic missions. He lauded the efforts of the envoys and members of the diplomatic corps to consolidate ties between their respective countries and Oman.
The meeting was attended by H E Mohammed Nasser al Wahaibi, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs in the Foreign Ministry.
