Oman takes part in GCC agricultural meet

Muscat - The Sultanate o Oman, represented by the Ministry o Agriculture, Fisheries and Water

Resources, too part in the extraordinary meeting o the GCC Agricultural Cooperation Committee held on Sunday.

Dr Saud Hamoud al Habsi, Minister o Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, headed the Omani delegation at the meeting, held via video conerencing with the prime aim o discussing ood security.

The meeting concluded with a number o proposals, including

the endorsement o a permanent committee or ood security to stem rom the GCC Agricultural Cooperation Committee, as well

as renaming the Agricultural Cooperation Committee as the ‘Agricultural Cooperation and Food Security Committee’.

The meeting discussed the ormation o a high-level GCC woring team that will comprise personnel o the public and private sectors, under the leader

ship o Saudi Arabia.
