27th edition of muscat Book Fair from Feb 22

The Main Committee of Muscat International Book Fair announced that the 27th edition of the fair will be held from February 22 to March 4, 2023.

H E Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Main Committee of Muscat International Book Fair, told ONA that the event will include a diverse range of cultural programmes appealling to the tastes of avid readers across different categories, including academic, cultural, literary and scientific.

The minister said, “The extravaganza constitutes an opportunity for all of us, as readers, researchers, academics and students, to pursue our interests to the maximum extent possible.”

He pointed out that the event will include family and children’s programmes fulfilling their educational aspirations and facilitating development of skills. Emphasis will be laid on sciences of the future, providing access to a wide repository of knowledge.

H E Harrasi stressed that Muscat International Book Fair provides a major platform for publishers, distributors and authors from Oman and abroad.

Besides a diverse selection of books, the fair will have interactive cultural events and seminars.

The 26th edition of the fair attracted more than 300,000 visitors.
