Muscat karatekas win silver in Okinawa

A team from the Bodhi Dharma Life Skills, pioneers in Ishin Ryu Karate in Muscat, has won several silver medals in the Okinawa World Karate Tournament held in Japan recently. The Okinawa tournament was attended by over 2200 karatekas from 27 countries, together with five students from Oman - Karthi, Kalyani, Ashwin, Mirsha and Kris. Under the supervision and guidance of the founder Renshi Kumar, they participated in the tournament and secured silver medals in various categories. Renshi Kumar undertook the qualifying exam and got enlisted as Referee for the World Tournament. The whole team has been undergoing rigorous practice for the last two years with the aim of securing medals in this tournament, a release said.
