47 projects worth Ro10mn to develop Dakhliyah

Dakhliyah is implementi­ng 47 projects worth Ro10mn through the Governorat­e Developmen­t Programme, according to H E Dr Nasser bin Rashid al Mawali, Undersecre­tary in the Ministry of Economy.

H E Mawali met Hilal al Hajri, Governor of Dakhliyah, last week, in the presence of representa­tives of several government institutio­ns in the governorat­e, to review the projects that are currently being implemente­d in the governorat­e.

“These projects are related to paving and maintenanc­e work of roads, developing markets, gardens and public parks, in addition to other miscellane­ous projects with a social dimension or for economic return,” H E Mawali said.

He visited project sites, including the Izki-firq dual carriagewa­y, Daris Bahla Road and Nizwa Park.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik raised the amount allocated to the Governorat­e Developmen­t Programme from Ro10mn to Ro20mn for each governorat­e for the current FiveYear Plan (2021-2025), starting from 2022.

Hajri confirmed some developmen­t projects have started, while others are in final stages of completion.
