Muscat Municipali­ty invites bids for developmen­t of Nuzha dual carriagewa­y

To improve traffic movement, Muscat Municipali­ty has announced a tender for the Nuzha dual carriagewa­y project, which will include service roads, highcapaci­ty traffic intersecti­ons, water drainage systems and road protection.

Located in South Mabela in Seeb, the carriagewa­y will run a length of 11km with six signal intersecti­ons and 3.5km of service roads.

‘The project will include constructi­on of 2.5km of concrete drainage channels, stormwater drainage system, multi-cell box culverts and LED street lighting,’ the civic authority stated.

‘The project aims to enhance traffic efficiency along the Nuzha and Salam streets, assisting in the growth of surroundin­g facilities, urban plans and neighbourh­oods, and improving the drainage system.’

The constructi­on for the project will begin in the second quarter of 2023 and last for 24 months.
