Muscat Municipality invites bids for development of Nuzha dual carriageway

To improve traffic movement, Muscat Municipality has announced a tender for the Nuzha dual carriageway project, which will include service roads, highcapacity traffic intersections, water drainage systems and road protection.

Located in South Mabela in Seeb, the carriageway will run a length of 11km with six signal intersections and 3.5km of service roads.

‘The project will include construction of 2.5km of concrete drainage channels, stormwater drainage system, multi-cell box culverts and LED street lighting,’ the civic authority stated.

‘The project aims to enhance traffic efficiency along the Nuzha and Salam streets, assisting in the growth of surrounding facilities, urban plans and neighbourhoods, and improving the drainage system.’

The construction for the project will begin in the second quarter of 2023 and last for 24 months.
