Submission deadline set for Bilarab award

Organisers of the Bilarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design have set December 1 as the deadline for submission of entries.

The second edition of the award is dedicated to designing the 14,154sqm Maritime History Museum in Sur, South Sharqiyah.

After receiving the entries, the arbitration committee will select the 30 best submissions and notify the participants with comments, if any, to improve their projects. In the final stage, the ten best projects will be shortlisted for the top prize of the second edition of the award.

The competition is open to Omanis younger than 35 years, who specialise in architectural design and urban planning. Contestants can participate as individuals or three-member groups.
