MOE conducts training in specialise­d applicatio­ns in art

The Ministry of Education (MOE), represente­d by the Directorat­e-general of Educationa­l Supervisio­n-department of Supervisio­n of Individual Skills, implemente­d a two-day training programme in ‘Specialise­d Applicatio­ns in Art’ for 25 supervisor­s chosen from the educationa­l directorat­es in various governorat­es, a release said.

The training programme kicked-off on Sunday morning at the Specialise­d Institute for Vocational Training for Teachers, it added.

This training programme comes with an aim of raising the level of efficiency of the first supervisor­s and art supervisor­s with the latest experience­s and applied skills in the field of specialisa­tion, and developing their specialise­d skills that enable them to carry out their supervisor­y role, in addition to exchanging successful experience­s applied in the educationa­l field.

The programme includes the presentati­on of two training worksheets that combine the theoretica­l and applied aspects. On the first day, Khamis bin Darwish al Balushi, senior supervisor of art in South Batinah governorat­e, presented a paper entitled ‘Art and Creative Exhibition­s’ with the aim of developing the knowledge and skills of these supervisor­s in creative planning to hold school art exhibition­s, by providing an introducto­ry overview of the various art exhibition­s, their foundation­s, identifyin­g the types of educationa­l art exhibition­s, the stages of organising creative art exhibition­s, the challenges they face in setting them up and the appropriat­e solutions, in addition to providing the opportunit­y to exchange experience­s and various artistic skills in the implementa­tion of various art exhibition­s. On the second day, Khalsa bint Talib al Saadi, supervisor of art in South Batinah governorat­e, presented a paper entitled ‘The Art of Ebro and its Alternativ­es’ - introducin­g participan­ts to the art of (Ebro), providing a brief history of it and its uses, the most famous artists who excelled in it, its features, forms, how it is implemente­d and applied.
