MOE conducts training in specialised applications in art
The Ministry of Education (MOE), represented by the Directorate-general of Educational Supervision-department of Supervision of Individual Skills, implemented a two-day training programme in ‘Specialised Applications in Art’ for 25 supervisors chosen from the educational directorates in various governorates, a release said.
The training programme kicked-off on Sunday morning at the Specialised Institute for Vocational Training for Teachers, it added.
This training programme comes with an aim of raising the level of efficiency of the first supervisors and art supervisors with the latest experiences and applied skills in the field of specialisation, and developing their specialised skills that enable them to carry out their supervisory role, in addition to exchanging successful experiences applied in the educational field.
The programme includes the presentation of two training worksheets that combine the theoretical and applied aspects. On the first day, Khamis bin Darwish al Balushi, senior supervisor of art in South Batinah governorate, presented a paper entitled ‘Art and Creative Exhibitions’ with the aim of developing the knowledge and skills of these supervisors in creative planning to hold school art exhibitions, by providing an introductory overview of the various art exhibitions, their foundations, identifying the types of educational art exhibitions, the stages of organising creative art exhibitions, the challenges they face in setting them up and the appropriate solutions, in addition to providing the opportunity to exchange experiences and various artistic skills in the implementation of various art exhibitions. On the second day, Khalsa bint Talib al Saadi, supervisor of art in South Batinah governorate, presented a paper entitled ‘The Art of Ebro and its Alternatives’ - introducing participants to the art of (Ebro), providing a brief history of it and its uses, the most famous artists who excelled in it, its features, forms, how it is implemented and applied.
