The importance of equipping halls for sensory integration is represented in the urgent need to find quality services that enhance the abilities of these students and show their maximum potential. The Ministry also seeks, through this project, to facilitate access to services and reduce the burden on parents, thus improving the quality of educational services in the Sultanate of Oman.”
He added, “As for the second agreement, it came to finance the National Programme to Support Emerging Innovators by enrolling them in programmes concerned with developing the capabilities and skills of innovative students, who participated in the National Olympiad for Scientific Innovations and the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence competitions that were held in December 2022 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This programme aims to spread awareness of the importance of innovation and promote best practices in supporting the innovation system at the national level, in terms of providing an integrated knowledge and scientific environment of services, facilities and mechanisms necessary for students and educational cadres.
This program will also be implemented in cooperation with institutions concerned with innovation from the government and private sectors through several stages that include criteria for selecting participants.
Dr Matani said, “We are pleased to continue the strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education, which will undoubtedly serve the educational process in the Sultanate of Oman, whether it is in providing new services to advance the social inclusion of students with disabilities, or in efforts to promote innovation among our students. The integrated classrooms project, which includes sensory integration, aims to deliver the educational message in a modern and accessible manner to students with disabilities, and this is reflected in the quality of the services provided, and in raising their academic achievement.”
