Oman, China seek to boost trade exchange
Muscat - H E Qais Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, on Wednesday received in his office Wang Yubo, Governor of Yunnan Province in China, and discussed issues related to trade and commerce.
The two sides reviewed the business and investment relations between the two countries and means of boosting trade exchange. They also discussed ways of enhancing joint cooperation in business, industry and investment sectors.
The two sides touched on the sectors of economic diversification within the framework of Oman Vision 2040 and attracting investments in various promising sectors.
H E Yousef highlighted investment opportunities in various governorates and free zones of Oman, as well as the facilities provided by the government to investors in various fields.

Sayyid Badr receives Yunnan governor
The Governor of Yunnan later met H E Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.
The meeting reviewed relations between the two countries and means of promoting them in various fields. It also touched on cooperation with Yunnan Province in the economic, investment and tourism areas, in addition to organising joint exhibitions and exchanging expertise and visits between the two sides.
The meeting was attended by Khalid Hashel al Muslehi, head of the Minister’s Office Department; Yousef Issa al Zadjali, head of the Asia and Pacific Department; Sheikh Salim Rabie al Sunaidi, Wali of Amerat; Li Lingping, Ambassador of China to Oman and a number of officials from both sides.
