Badr Al Samaa becomes partner of Al Mouj marathon

Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals is proud to announce its partnershi­p with Sabco Sports as the official medical partner for the Al Mouj Muscat Marathon.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism along with Sabco Sports is all set with this sports extravagan­za happening this weekend.

A MOU signing ceremony for confirming Badr Al Samaa as Official Medical Partner was held at the corporate office of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals. Abdul Latheef Uppala, Managing Director of Badr Al Samaa and Ali al Ajmi, General Manager of Sabco Sports signed the MOU.

Speaking on the occasion, in a joint statement by Managing Directors of Badr Al Samaa, Abdul Latheef Uppala & Dr P A Mohammed said, “By this collaborat­ion Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals sends across the messages of importance of good health and its dedication to promoting health and wellness within the community. This partnershi­p with Al Mouj Muscat Marathon aligns perfectly with our commitment to fostering a healthier and more active lifestyle.”

Ali al Ajmi expressed satisfacti­on over the medical partnershi­p with Badr Al Samaa and appreciate­d the efforts and profession­alism shown by Badr Al Samaa medical team in previous events of Al Mouj Muscat Marathon and Oman Broadband Governorat­es Marathon. He was confident for this edition as-well. He said, “Medical Support is the most vital part of any sporting events and collaborat­ing with Badr Al Samaa will ensure health and safety in the best form of the participan­ts.”

Samaa Group of Hospitals, Moideen Bilal and Firasath Hassan in a joint statement said, “As the official medical partner, Badr Al Samaa will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participan­ts throughout the event. Badr Al Samaa will be supporting with doctors, nurses, paramedics and fullyfledg­ed ambulances and ensure complete heath services coverage right from the medical tent at the race village to covering the running tracks throughout.”

This collaborat­ion between Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and Al Mouj Muscat Marathon exemplifie­s a shared vision of promoting health and wellness within the community. The partnershi­p is poised to create a safer, healthier and more enriching experience for all participan­ts in the marathon.

Al Mouj Muscat Marathon, known for its exemplary organising of large running event, attracts participan­ts from across the region and many Western and European countries and has become a hallmark event in promoting fitness and endurance. The race this year will have five categories: Full (42.2km) and half (21.1km) marathons; 10km race; 5km race for participan­ts; and the kids’ run with three categories of distance 1km, 2km and 3km.
