ISG bids farewell to Class 12 batch of 2024

Indian School Al Ghubra organised a formal farewell ceremony for the students of Class 12 on January 29, a release stated.

The event, which was graced by the founder Dr P Mohamed Ali, began with the singing of the school song.

Dr Ali was accorded a warm welcome in a traditiona­l way, as principal Papri Ghosh welcomed the distinguis­hed gathering.

In her address, the principal highlighte­d the contributi­ons of the batch of 2024 towards community service in the form of beach cleaning drive, collecting funds through bake sale, friendly cricket matches, football matches to name a few.

She recalled how passionate­ly they followed up to make ISG Girls Football Team a reality. She also wished them the very best for the board examinatio­ns and their future endeavours.

In his exhortatio­n, Dr Mohammed Ali spoke about the importance of discipline and possessing an attitude of gratitude in moulding an individual. He advised the students to build a brand for themselves, based on the principles of hard work, trust and empathy. He also emphasised on the need to remain focused, to dream big and above all to be a good human being.

The 154 students of the batch were presented with mementoes by Dr Mohamed Ali.

Sixty-seven students who had completed 14 years of schooling in ISG were specially felicitate­d by the president of the school management committee Ahmed Rayees.

On this momentous occasion, Aditi Guru, the head girl, spoke of the many memories made at ISG. Daksh Saraf - the head boy - spoke of how the life lessons learnt at ISG will remain the bedrock on which they will build their future.

In her speech, Shaivi Kumar, president of the Student Council said each one of her batchmates feels prepared to take on the challenges of the real world.

Simran Kawatra, the head girl - ISG Internatio­nal, said that the values imbibed and the memories made at ISGI will remain with them forever.

Nithin Krishnan Muthukrish­nan, the head boy of ISGI, expressed his gratitude to the teachers and parents and assured them that he and his batch will make the school proud.

The function concluded with a special prayer by principal Papri Ghosh, seeking the grace of the Almighty for the success of the batch of 2023-24.
