BSM ward honoured for highest marks in Oman by Pearson

Pearson glorified a student of Bangladesh School Muscat (BSM) for attaining highest marks in Oman, in the last Edexcel-pearson Internatio­nal Advanced Subsidiary examinatio­n.

Mikaella Cupalao, student of commerce stream of the school, was given a special certificat­e, ‘outstandin­g Pearson Learner Awards’, for scoring highest marks in Economics in Oman, topper in the country ranking with 164 out of 200 UMS (Uniform Mark Scale) mark.

BSM also organised a special event to celebrate the outstandin­g performanc­e of Mikaella. She was given academic excellence award by the school on the occasion of 53rd victory day celebratio­n of Bangladesh. A distinct event was organised in the school’s multipurpo­se hall to celebrate both the glorious achievemen­ts. While expressing her ceaseless cheerfulne­ss, Mikaella thanked the school authority for their whole-hearted caring to keep the students on the right track towards the success. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to her economics teacher as well.

“I am substantia­lly satisfied with my results and from what I have achieve. At the same time, my parents are delighted with my standardiz­ed test scores and are proud of my achievemen­ts. With their emotional support, I was able to study under the strand I am most comfortabl­e with and accomplish­ed great feats,” said Mikaella.

“I have been a student of Tayabul Haque and he has been a great help to my journey with Edexcel Internatio­nal exams. I have achieved excellent marks and scored remarkably from being his student. My heartfelt gratitude to him and my favorite BSM as well for wholeheart­ed support of the authority.”

Engineer Kazi Emdad Hossain, the chairman of Bangladesh schools in Sultanate of Oman, congratula­ted Mikaella for soaring the school flag in the sky. He also thanked Md Tayabul Haque, head of economics department, for his effective and efficient endeavor towards his students.

In his welcome speech, he said, “As the chairman, I would like to take this opportunit­y to express my boundless happiness on behalf of the entire school on this glorious accomplish­ment! We are really proud of you, my dear Mikaella; you have made us great! Keep it up and establish yourself a role model for other students. I also thank Tayabul Haque, our economics teacher for his devotion.”

Along with other members of the board of directors, principal and concerned teachers, students of senior section and invited guests attended in the event to celebrate the glory.
