Since its inception in 2009, how many Arabs from how many countries has Takreem awarded? More than 150 Arab and international personalities from different fields, from most of the Arab countries, in addition to UK, USA, Sweden and many more have been awarded so far.
Why was the need felt to promote Arab achievements through Takreem’s Foundation?
In the vibrant tapestry of the Arab world, initiatives like Takreem unfold narratives that transcend mere tales of success - they are woven with threads of recognition, visibility, and a resolute commitment to challenge stereotypes. By casting a spotlight on accomplished individuals and transformative projects, these endeavours embark on a global stage, where the brilliance of Arab achievements takes centrestage, dispelling misconceptions and showcasing the rich diversity and talent embedded within the Arab community.
Takreem, as a torchbearer of inspiration and motivation, understands the profound impact that sharing success stories can have on the Arab world. In these narratives of triumph, the initiative seeks not only to celebrate achievements but to ignite a flame of inspiration that propels others to pursue their dreams fervently. To what extent have the awardees of
previous years proved to be role models or inspired future generations?
The recipients from past years have undeniably emerged as exemplary role models, proving to be a profound source of inspiration. Their noteworthy contributions transcend their specific fields, leaving a lasting impact on the societies they are part of, particularly in the Arab world.
It is important to highlight that these individuals were already on a trajectory to becoming role models and sources of inspiration even before being honoured. What Takreem has effectively achieved is the expansion of their influence, widening their reach, and augmenting their capacity to inspire and positively impact their communities.
How diverse are the achievers of 2023 - any striking achievement this year?
The achievers of 2023 exhibit remarkable diversity in terms of their significant accomplishments within their respective fields. While merit remains the primary criterion for recognition, there is a conscious effort to consider diversity, including factors such as country of origin and gender. It is worth noting that each laureate has made substantial contributions, and although there may not be a singular unprecedented achievement, the collective impact of their diverse accomplishments contributes to the overall uniqueness of the group.
How has the Takreem award been motivational in the future success of some awardees?
The Takreem award has played a pivotal role in motivating the future success of certain awardees who have reached great heights. By placing them in the spotlight, the award has facilitated networking opportunities and increased recognition within their respective fields. Being in the limelight, these awardees have been able to leverage their achievements, leading to enhanced visibility, new connections, and further opportunities for professional growth.

7. What would you say are the main hurdles faced by Arab go-getters in pursuing challenging professions?
Some of the main challenges facing Arab go-getters include limited access to quality education and training opportunities, unequal gender representation, cultural expectations and societal norms that might discourage certain career paths, and in some cases, economic barriers.
Additionally, political instability and regional conflicts can impact job opportunities and hinder professional growth. Overcoming these challenges often requires a combination of systemic changes, advocacy for equal opportunities, and initiatives to promote inclusive and diverse professional environments.

Does Takreem receive support from any governmental organisations in any GCC states?
Takreem has been fortunate to receive generous support from various sponsors and patrons, predominantly from the private sector. Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain have in the past extended generous support when each hosted the awards night. This year, the Omani Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the Abu Dhabi government have provided gracious assistance.
