Aluminium Recycling Forum kicks off today
Muscat – The first of its kind B2B event, the 'Aluminium Recycling Forum 2024: Forging the Future,' hosted by Sohar Aluminium, commences today under the patronage of H E Dr Abdullah bin Ali al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Muscat.
Dedicated to advancing the aluminum recycling industry, the forum, supported by the Environment Authority, will attract over 100 participants. It will feature several thought-provoking presentations, discussions, and keynote speeches from industry pioneers such as the International Aluminium Institute, exploring the latest trends, challenges, and business opportunities in aluminum recycling, including for SMES, sustainability practices, and the impact of technological advancements.
Key players from the industry, including government institutions, private companies, waste management representatives, along with aluminum recyclers, will participate in the forum.
Eng Said bin Mohammed Al Masoudi, CEO of Sohar Aluminium Company, said, “The forum aims to bring together aluminum industry players in Oman, along with the regulatory authority for the environment, to discuss aluminum scrap recycling. Furthermore, it seeks to establish a baseline for aluminum waste in Oman and find synergies between industry players to maximize in-country aluminum recycling and promote a circular economy.”
