At Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, a venue located on the banks of the River Thames, the glitterati descended for the 77th British Academy Film Arts Awards (BAFTA) 2024 in outstanding style on February 18.
Before taking their places in the 2,700-seat theater to celebrate outstanding achievements on screens big and small, nominees, presenters, and guests hit the traditional red carpet to kick off the star-studded evening.
This year’s group of nominees are no stranger to the awardsshow circuit, with several being lauded for their red-carpet fashion over the past few weeks.
At the BAFTA Awards 2024 (which many consider an important precursor to the Academy Awards, which are scheduled for March 10), chic stars like Ayo Edebiri, Barry Keoghan, Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan, Cillian Murphy, Claire Foy, Colman Domingo, Da’vine Joy Randolph, Dominic Sessa, Emily Blunt, Emma Stone, Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, Paul
Abela, Rebecca Ferguson, and Taylor Russell in attendance, landing a spot on Vanity Fair’s best-dressed list was all the more impressive.
The BAFTA Awards, which celebrate the best in film and television as determined by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, often serve as an indicator of momentum and trends - not just on the red carpet, but also among voters for the Oscars next month.
