The Sultanate of Oman, under the auspices of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will host the third edition of ‘World Travel Week - Middle East’ starting Sunday.
The four-day event will feature 94 tourism experts from across the globe alongside 31 Omani tourism entities and hotels.
The event is part of the ministry's initiatives to bolster the luxury tourism segment in Oman, drawing companies and professionals from the international tourism sector for collaborations and interactions with local tourism institutions.
Its programme includes tailored tours for major global tourism companies, offering them an immersive experience of Oman's diverse attractions across its governorates. These activities aim to provide a wellrounded perspective of Oman's tourism potential, with 14 companies specifically selected for familiarisation visits to Dhofar governorate.
Haitham bin Muhammad al
Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion in the ministry, highlighted the event's significance, stating, " World Travel Week is a vital addition for luxury tourism companies. It has showcased its value and impact in previous editions."
He further emphasised the role of the ministry in hosting the event, noting its contribution in enhancing international collaborations in luxury tourism, sharing expertise and cementing Oman's status as a premier luxury travel destination on the world stage.
“The event is set to witness significant participation from luxury tourism experts and specialists from various countries, underscoring its global relevance and appeal,” Ghassani added.
