Omantel to showcase vision at Mobile World Congress

MWC Barcelona is the world’s largest and most influential event for the connectivity ecosystem, and attracts the leading players of the industry, including global mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors, content owners, and others, a press release said.

Omantel will also use the event to familiarise with latest trends in the field of information technology, technology, digitisation and e-services.

Omantel's strong participation in the international exhibition stems from the company's keenness to keep pace with technical developments, especially in mobile information and communication technology, through the company's constant endeavour to deploy the most prominent technologies and digital solutions that contribute to the telecommunications sector in the sultanate, support the digital economy and highlight Oman's role in advancing the IT sector. In addition, Omantel Innovation Labs is participating in the event with four Omani startups incubated in the labs. The startups will take part in 4YFN, the platform for tech startups at Mobile World Congress, and explore partnerships with tech startups, investors and companies with the goal of launching joint investment projects.
