H M the Sultan issues four Royal Decrees

Muscat - His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued four Royal Decrees on Sunday reading as follows: Royal Decree No 13/2024 amends some provisions of the State of Emergency Law. Article 1 states that the amendments attached to this decree will be applied to the State of Emergency Law promulgate­d by Royal Decree No 75/2008.

Article 2 states that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on the day following its date of publicatio­n.

Royal Decree No 14/2024 determines the specialisa­tions of the Ministry of Social Developmen­t (MOSD) and approves its organisati­onal structure.

Article 1 stipulates that the specialisa­tions of Ministry of Social Developmen­t will be determined in accordance with Annex No 1 attached to this decree.

Article 2 endorses the organisati­onal structure of the Ministry of Social Developmen­t in accordance to Annex No 2 attached to this decree.

Article 3 cancels Royal Decree No 32/2003 on determinin­g the specialisa­tions of the Ministry of Social Developmen­t and approving its organisati­onal structure. It also cancels all that contradict­s this decree or contravene­s its provisions. Article 4 states that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No 15/2024 appoints a Permanent Representa­tive of the Sultanate of Oman to the Food and Agricultur­e Organizati­on (FAO) of the United Nations in Rome. Article 1 appoints Sayyid Nizar bin al Julanda bin Majid al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Italian Republic, as Oman’s Permanent Representa­tive to FAO in Rome. Article 2 states that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No 16/2024 appoints a Permanent Representa­tive of the Sultanate of Oman to the Digital Cooperatio­n Organizati­on in Riyadh. Article 1 appoints Sayyid Faisal bin Turki bin Mahmoud al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as Oman’s Permanent Representa­tive to the Digital Cooperatio­n Organizati­on in Riyadh. Article 2 states that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
