Omani tech to be showcased at LEAP

Represente­d by the Ministry of Transport, Communicat­ions and Informatio­n Technology (MTCIT), the sultanate is set to make a mark at the third edition of LEAP Tech Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Monday.

An internatio­nal exhibition, LEAP is committed to addressing global challenges by fostering large-scale investment­s in groundbrea­king technologi­es poised to redefine lifestyles and future.

Highlighti­ng the essence of Oman's participat­ion, H E Dr Ali bin Amer al Shidhani, Undersecre­tary for Communicat­ions and Informatio­n Technology in MTCIT, outlined the sultanate's objectives at the conference. "Our primary goal is to showcase

the innovative prowess of emerging Omani technology companies, alongside their services and digital offerings. We aim to carve out new pathways in internatio­nal markets for these entities, establishi­ng connection­s with specialise­d investors and drawing digital investment­s back to Oman," he stated.

The four-day conference is anticipate­d to draw a diverse global audience, including industry-leading companies, renowned experts and insightful investors. H E Shidhani emphasised Oman's intention to introduce attendees to the varied facets and investment potentials in its technology sector.

Oman's commitment to the event is further demonstrat­ed by its dedicated pavilion, which consolidat­es the efforts of 15 government agencies and institutio­ns. The pavilion will host approximat­ely 62 Omani tech firms specialisi­ng in the communicat­ions and informatio­n technology sector. "This significan­t representa­tion reflects Oman's dedication to fostering innovation, technologi­cal advancemen­t and internatio­nal collaborat­ion in the dynamic digital landscape," H E Shidhani added.
