Liva Insurance sponsors 36th United GCC Traffic Week 2024
In a dedicated effort to foster community awareness on critical road safety issues and contribute to the overall social development, Liva Insurance, a leading insurer in the Sultanate of Oman, supports the 36th Unified GCC Traffic Week as an official sponsor.
This significant event, organised by the Royal Oman Police, unfolds at Oman Mall in Muscat from March 3 to 7, with a pivotal focus on the theme ‘Driving Without a Phone’, a press release said.
Yesterday marked the inauguration of the exhibition under the patronage of H E Eng Khamis Mohammed al Shamakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Transport, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, senior officials and representatives from ROP, and executive management from public and private entities. The primary goal of this annual event is to reinforce the importance of traffic safety and adherence to road regulations across Gulf countries.
By actively participating in the GCC Traffic Week, Liva Insurance endeavours to collaborate with other organisations to elevate road safety awareness within Omani society. The exhibition serves as a platform for the company to highlight crucial topics related to road safety rules, including aspects such as wrong overtaking, seatbelt usage, maintaining a safe distance, and avoiding speeding.
In light of the alarming rise in traffic accidents across the region that is leading to significant loss of lives and vehicle damage, this initiative is geared towards intensifying awareness and instilling a culture of adherence to traffic rules while driving. The overarching goal is to contribute to the overall safety of all road users.
Speaking about Liva Insurance's participation in the exhibition, Hanaa al Hinai, CEO of Liva Insurance, said, "We take immense pride in sponsoring this significant event- the GCC Traffic Week.
