Carlos Ortiz triumphs in golf series finale

In a spectacula­r display of skill and sportsmans­hip, the Internatio­nal Series Oman 2024 at Al Mouj Golf, part of the Asian Tour, concluded with Carlos Ortiz from Mexico clinching the title.

The event, which ran from February 22 to 25, featured a compelling finish with Carlos Ortiz overcoming Louis Oosthuizen from South Africa by 4 shots. This year's tournament, backed by Saudi-owned LIV Golf, solidified Al Mouj Golf's reputation as a world-class golfing destinatio­n, a press release said.

Building on the success of the previous year, the 2024 edition featured an impressive player list of 144 from over 25 countries, including renowned golfers Joaquin Niemann, Louis Oosthuizen, and defending champion Takumi Kanaya.

The event was a true testament to Al Mouj Golf's commitment to excellence, underscori­ng its recent accolade as the Asian Tour's 2023 Golf Course of the Year and its consistent ranking among the top 100 courses worldwide.
