Sohar Aluminium, MOH to set up dialysis unit in Dhank

Sohar Aluminium has inked a memorandum of understand­ing with the Ministry of Health (MOH), specifical­ly the Directorat­e General of Health Services in Dhahirah, to fund the constructi­on of a new dialysis unit in Dhank Health Centre.

The agreement, signed in the presence of Najeeb bin Ali bin Ahmed al Rawas, Governor of Dhahirah, and representa­tives from both public and private sectors, on Monday underscore­s a significan­t collaborat­ion aimed at bolstering healthcare services in the governorat­e.

The pact was formalised by Jameel bin Mohammed Shakeel, Communicat­ions and Corporate Social Responsibi­lity Manager at Sohar Aluminium, and Dr Ahmed bin Said bin Khamis al Kalbani, Director General of Health Services in Dhahirah.

The initiative is a testament to the shared commitment of the public and private sectors towards enhancing Oman's healthcare landscape, specifical­ly aiming to support government's endeavours to improve health services and foster sustainabl­e community developmen­t across various governorat­es.

Ahmed bin Mohammed al Kharusi, GM of HR and Corporate Affairs at Sohar Aluminium, highlighte­d the significan­ce of the project, describing it as a continuati­on of the company's sustained efforts in social investment in the healthcare sector. "This initiative not only adds to our portfolio of contributi­ons towards healthcare but also reaffirms our dedication to supporting vital sectors for the betterment of society," Kharusi said. The company has also supported healthcare through the constructi­on of facilities and provision of medical equipment.
