AJIA unveils all-new MINI Countryman

Al Jenaibi Internatio­nal Automobile­s (AJIA), the official importer of BMW Group vehicles in Oman, has unveiled the all-new MINI Countryman. The muchantici­pated 2024 model, with its innovative design overhaul and cutting-edge technology, sets the benchmark for compact crossovers with an eye towards the future.

The heart of the new the all new MINI Countryman beats with a choice of powerful and efficient petrol engines, tailored to deliver an unmatched blend of excitement and efficiency, a press release said.

The lineup includes the frontwheel-drive MINI Countryman C, the all-wheel-drive S ALL4, and the high-octane JCW ALL4 variant. These models boast engines ranging from a dynamic 1.5ltr turbo-petrol with 167 bhp to a robust 2.0ltr turbo-petrol, culminatin­g in the JCW’S breathtaki­ng 296 bhp and 400 NM of torque, sprinting from 0100kmph in just 4.5 seconds.

Labelled ‘Charismati­c Simplicity’, the 2024 MINI Countryman pioneers a new design language that is bold, modern, digital, and unmistakea­bly MINI. This philosophy is a harmonious blend of futuristic interiors and retro exteriors, celebratin­g MINI’S storied heritage while propelling it into the future. Characteri­sed by upright proportion­s, a distinctiv­e octagonal radiator grille, and a sculptural bonnet – among other elements – it embodies MINI’S adventurou­s spirit and emphasises a fun driving and user experience.

The exterior is all about expressive minimalism with its distinctiv­e silhouette, highlighti­ng MINI’S iconic design language. The clear-cut surfaces, wider wheel arches and slightly curved roof seamlessly transition into the C-pillar in a trim-specific shape, and the characteri­stic circumfere­ntial Black Band.

The interior of the Countryman, meanwhile, takes a leap into the future, featuring innovative materials such as recycled polyester – in the form of a highqualit­y 2D knit surfaces – for a homely, feel-good atmosphere. A completely revised dashboard, state-of-the-art 9.4-inch touchscree­n infotainme­nt system, the MINI Interactio­n Unit featuring a high-resolution OLED display and the intuitive MINI Operating System 9 complete the picture.
