Meethaq Islamic Banking from Bank Muscat has reached a significan­t milestone in its digital transforma­tion journey by upgrading its e-channels system. This upgrade involved transition­ing from a legacy core banking system to the advanced (T24) platform with the support of Systems Limited, a global system integrator.

This strategic step underscore­s Meethaq’s commitment to driving innovation through cutting-edge technology, addressing customer needs and expectatio­ns, reducing operationa­l costs, and enhancing time-tomarket capacity, a press release said.

The implementa­tion of this new system is poised to reshape the Islamic Banking Landscape in the sultanate, enhancing the customer experience and enabling them to easily and efficientl­y follow up on their transactio­ns. Further, it will expand the range of banking services and functional­ities available through Meethaq’s mobile app and Internet banking platforms. Meethaq remains steadfast in its pursuit of leadership by offering a diverse range of Shari’a compliant Islamic banking products and services.

The initiative aligns with Meethaq Islamic Banking longterm goals and strategy of fostering innovation and staying up-to-date with the global industry trends.
