Let’s be financially independent, inspire inclusion

-

Every year on March 8, the world celebrates International Women's Day, a day dedicated to recognising the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

This year's theme - Inspire Inclusion - carries a powerful message that extends far beyond a single day of celebration.

It is a call to action, urging us to create a world where all women, regardless of their background, identity or circumstance, feel valued, empowered and actively included in every aspect of society. This includes - Equal access to opportunities and resources: This encompasses education, employment, healthcare, political participation and other areas where women may face systemic barriers.

Representation and participation in decisionmaking: Ensuring women have a seat at the table and their voices are heard in shaping policies and initiatives that impact their lives.

Celebrating diversity: Recognising and valuing the unique experiences, perspectives and contributions of women from all walks of life, including different cultures, ethnicities, abilities, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

Financial independence: Focus on women becoming financially independent. Being financially independent should be the main aim of every single women. Let us focus on becoming independent. I would say, financially independent. We can be anyone’s daughter, sister or wife; that does not matter. As women, we should focus on becoming financially independent because the future is always uncertain.

Remember, inclusion is not a destination, but a continuous process that requires active participation and commitment from all of us.

In conclusion, ‘Inspire Inclusion’ is not just a theme. It's a call to action. By actively fostering inclusivity, we can empower women, unlock their potential, and build a brighter future for everyone.

Let's embrace the power of diverse perspectives and create a world where all women feel valued, heard and empowered to thrive.

Happy Women’s Day to all the wonderful ladies out there!
