AI Apex Challenge at UTAS-AL Mussanah

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences-al Mussanah (UTAS-A) represente­d by the Department of Informatio­n Technology organised the AI Apex Challenge on March 7, under the patronage of Sheikh Ammar bin Salim bin Mohammed al Saadi, member of Majlis A’shura representi­ng wilayat of Mussanah.

The event shed light on the National Strategy for Education 2040 fostering academic excellence and technologi­cal innovation. Dr Nihad Abdullah al Zadjali, Deputy of the Assistant

Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs delivered the welcoming speech for the event which witnessed the participat­ion of 15 educationa­l institutio­ns, both private and government­al universiti­es and colleges.

Through the AI Apex Challenge, UTAS-A strives to be a dynamic convergenc­e point for students and researcher­s across various discipline­s. The AI Apex Challenge brought together the brightest minds in artificial intelligen­ce. Students and profession­als from various discipline­s showcase their skills, solving real-world problems using AI technology in addition to providing an excellent opportunit­y for networking and the exchange of experience and cutting-edge solutions in this field.

The AI Apex Challenge contribute­d to creating a dynamic environmen­t where individual­s can explore valuable insights and express their innovative ideas by focusing on themes related to Artificial Intelligen­ce, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. The AI Apex Challenge also included various competitio­ns such as ‘AI Mastermind­s’ and ‘AI

Innovative Project Exhibits’ with a mission to encourage innovation, enhance learning, and build community and corporate social responsibi­lities.

The AI Apex Challenge aimed to encourage creativity and pioneer the future of AI and research. Such events form an important resource for graduate and postgradua­te students, decision-makers, and researcher­s in the public and private sectors who are looking for researchba­sed methods for modelling uncertain and unpredicta­ble real-world problems.
